Team Leader
About us
We are a family-run company, opening a LD Residential Children’s Home in the Tile Hill area of Coventry. Our aim is to create a safe, happy, healing, family environment for 4 children between the ages of 8-17 years with learning difficulties, who are unable to live with their families and may have experienced various trauma.
We are looking for a team of caring adults who can be understanding and compassionate for the children we are caring for, as well as the resilience and strength that it takes to manage the behaviours that can come from experiencing trauma and having learning difficulties.

You will be required to complete some shifts where you will support the children in: getting up and ready for school, transporting them to and from school, cooking meals, attending health appointments, taking part in activities, going to family time, learning independence skills. Other responsibilities include: planning the day’s shift, daily paperwork to monitor the child’s progress, cleaning the home, health and safety checks, attending meetings and care planning for the child, leading shift de-briefs and handovers as well as working with the entire team to ensure the children are effectively safeguarded. However your main duties will be in working with the Manager and Deputy in overseeing and supporting the Seniors team, upskilling them and ensuring they are meeting the requirements of their role.
We are acting-parents for these children, and our most important role is to be the stable, emotional support for them – for them to have adults that they can trust to act in their best interest and understand them. We want our children to feel safe, supported and cared for and the Team Leaders are essential in achieving this.
